About This Year
Hosted by ProCopywriters, CopyCon is the largest event dedicated solely to the power of words to build business.
But we’re much more than just a chance to learn, grow and develop new skills.
CopyCon is also the one time of year where word-workers assemble, talk shop, get connected with peers and pick up the little tricks and techniques that make our work a little easier – and more rewarding.
We hope you can join us in 2024 – either in person or virtually with one of the training days or via the Video Package.
COPYWRITERS HAVE IMMENSE POWER TO SHAPE OUTCOMES AND CHANGE FORTUNES. WE CELEBRATE THAT SKILL.
We design the programme around our audience,
which tends to be a mix of people from
advertising, communications, marketing, PR
and digital. Our attendees are employees,
agency owners and freelancers. While many of
our delegates are copywriters, plenty are
managers, directors, account managers
and marketers.
Speak at CopyCon
Want to speak at CopyCon?
Great! We’re always looking for fresh voices to bring to the CopyCon stage. Before I share the speaker application button with you, let me give you a little more context about our audience and what they love most in a speaker.
For starters, the CopyCon audience is a diverse bunch of people. It’s everyone from total noobs fresh out of the marketing creche, to wizened word wizards, as well as the entire spectrum between those extremes. While most of our attendees are employed as a copywriter of some sort (content designer. UX writer, creative copywriter, content writer etc), we also get plenty of agency writers and independents (freelancers and contractors).
Our audience loves…
- Practical ideas that they can put to work
- Inspiring stories that encourage us all to do better work
- Insights gleaned through hard graft at the linguistic coal face
- Humour, irreverence and enthusiasm
We’re unlikely to schedule talks that are deeply focused on the mechanics of being a professional, unless they have a broad appeal.
For example, a talk about presenting skills could work. A talk about freelancing would not.
Your Application
Your application to speak becomes a part of our speaker directory. We turn to this directory when it’s time to plan a conference, and also when we need to find replacements for any last-minute line-up changes.
You are welcome to make multiple submissions as your topic, experience or profile changes.
